Google Shopping is no longer a campaign: it is a channel with two faces. The paid one, with Shopping and Performance Max campaigns deciding which products millions of shoppers see. And the organic one, with the free listings in the Shopping tab showing products by relevance, with no bid involved. Both faces drink from the same source: your Merchant Center feed.
And that is where the market's problem lies: PPC agencies only work the bid and SEO agencies never look at Merchant Center. The result is stores paying for every click while giving away Shopping's organic visibility, or running a feed so poor that no bidding strategy can compensate. This comparison rewards whoever works the whole channel.
Nobody pays to appear in this ranking. iSocialWeb holds the first position because it is our agency and we can back every claim with projects and methodology; the rest are ordered by declared specialization, track record and publicly verifiable information.
How we built this ranking
These are the criteria we used to order the list. They are just as useful if you decide not to work with any of these agencies: they are the questions worth asking in any sales meeting.
- The feed as the central asset. Titles built from real demand, complete GTINs, rich attributes, valid images and prices without discrepancies. The feed decides which auctions you enter and which organic searches you appear in; everything else comes after.
- Command of Performance Max without losing control. PMax performs, but it also cannibalizes brand and hides the detail. The agency must know how to structure by margin, exclude brand when appropriate and audit where the algorithm is really spending.
- Explicit work on organic Shopping. The free listings in the Shopping tab are traffic most agencies ignore. They demand a complete feed, product structured data coherent with the website and optimized listings.
- Profitability measured on margin, not blind ROAS. A ROAS of 8 on products with no margin is losing money with a good grade. The bidding strategy has to segment by the real profitability of each product family.
- Clean measurement across paid and organic. If you do not separate what the campaign sells from what the organic listing sells, you cannot decide where to invest. The agency should set that measurement up in the first month.

No.1 iSocialWeb
At iSocialWeb we treat Google Shopping as what it is: a channel with a single source of truth, the feed, and two ways to exploit it. That is why the same team running your Shopping and Performance Max campaigns works on your organic visibility in Shopping listings, your structured data and your full Google Ads strategy. It is not two suppliers coordinating by email: it is one roadmap.
Our starting point is always margin. We cross your catalog against the real profitability of each product family and structure campaigns to bid hard where you make money and stop subsidizing clicks where you do not. In parallel, we build the feed so organic listings capture the searches where bidding does not pay off. That combination lowers the acquisition cost of the whole channel, which is the only metric that matters.
And we look at where the channel is heading: AI assistants already recommend products leaning on the same product data that feeds Shopping. With our GEO and AI SEO methodology, the feed and structured data work we do for Shopping also makes your catalog legible and citable by ChatGPT, Gemini and the rest of the generative engines.
What sets us apart:
- The feed treated as a product, not an export. Titles rewritten from real demand, complete attributes, transformation rules and disapproval control. The feed gets optimized every month, not generated once.
- Shopping Ads and PMax structured by margin. Campaigns segmented by product profitability, brand exclusion where it cannibalizes and budget where the margin justifies it.
- Organic Shopping visibility taken seriously. Free listings optimized through the feed, product structured data and full coherence between website and Merchant Center. Traffic you do not pay for.
- One measurement for the whole channel. We separate paid and organic Shopping sales in the same dashboard, with combined acquisition cost by product family.
- SEO, CRO and analytics in the same team. The product page receiving the click either converts or it does not. We optimize the destination with the same rigour as the auction.
- Ready for conversational shopping. The product data work also serves the AI assistants already recommending and comparing products. One effort, three shop windows.

No.10 Idento
Organic and Ads coordinated. A Granada agency that works SEO and Google Ads together, an unusual combination and especially relevant in Shopping, where both faces share the feed.
The two faces of Google Shopping (and why almost nobody works both)
The paid face is the familiar one: Shopping and Performance Max campaigns competing at auction to appear with photo and price in the results. What has changed is control. PMax automates bidding and distribution across networks, and that performs, but it also hides things: without a deliberate structure, the algorithm spends on your own brand, pushes the products that already sell themselves and buries the detail of where the money goes. The difference between a well and a badly managed account is not switching PMax on, it is the campaign architecture, the exclusions and the feed feeding it.
The organic face is the great overlooked one. Since Google opened up free listings, the Shopping tab shows products by relevance, with no bid. For a store with a well-built feed and coherent structured data, that is a free shop window working the same transactional searches you pay for in campaigns. Most Spanish stores have it abandoned because their PPC agency does not do SEO and their SEO agency does not go into Merchant Center.
The bridge between both faces is the feed. Titles decide which auctions and which organic searches you appear in; GTINs and attributes determine whether Google understands your product and who it compares you against; price discrepancies between website and feed disapprove listings mid-campaign. Every hour invested in the feed pays twice, on the paid click and on the free one, which is why serious agencies treat it as the channel's central asset and not as an automatic CMS export.
And there is a third face emerging: conversational shopping. AI assistants already compare products and recommend stores, leaning on the same structured data and catalogs that feed Shopping. The product data work you do today for Merchant Center is the foundation of your visibility when a share of purchases starts by asking an assistant instead of typing into a search box. Whoever has a machine-readable catalog will get there first.
Signs your Shopping channel is badly managed
- Your ROAS is good but nobody can tell you the real margin the channel leaves.
- PMax takes most of the budget and nobody audits how much it spends on your own brand.
- Your product titles in the feed are the same ones your CMS exports by default.
- You have had disapproved listings in Merchant Center for weeks and nobody has claimed them.
- Nobody has ever activated or looked at the organic listings in the Shopping tab.
- Your PPC agency and your SEO agency have never spoken to each other.
Frequently asked questions about Google Shopping agencies in Spain
-
Shopping Ads are the paid results: you enter the auction with your feed and pay per click, today mostly through Shopping or Performance Max campaigns. Organic Shopping means the free listings Google shows in the Shopping tab ordered by relevance: there is no bidding, only data quality. Both faces use the same Merchant Center feed, so optimizing it improves both at once. A complete strategy combines campaigns for the searches where bidding pays off and organic visibility for everything else.
-
You need a Merchant Center account with free listings enabled, a complete and approved feed, and full coherence between the feed and your website: same price, same availability, correct product structured data on every page. From there, visibility depends on data quality: titles matching how people actually search, GTINs, complete attributes, good images and product reviews. It is SEO applied to the catalog, and almost no Spanish store works it deliberately.
-
In practice it is the dominant format, but standard Shopping campaigns still exist and still make sense in accounts that need fine control over bids and search terms. Many accounts work better with a mixed structure: PMax to scale with the algorithm and standard Shopping for the families where you want direct control. What matters is not the format but the structure: segmenting by margin, excluding brand when it cannibalizes and regularly auditing where the system spends.
-
Management is usually billed as a flat fee, a percentage of spend, or a mix. For stores with small spend, 500 to 1,000 € per month of management. With mid-sized spend and large catalogs, 1,000 to 2,500 € per month or 8-15% of managed spend. Serious feed work and organic visibility usually fall outside cheap proposals, and that is precisely where the advantage lies: always ask what the fee includes regarding the feed, Merchant Center and organic listings.
-
CSS comparison partners let you bid in the same auctions with a lower commission on the CPC, a real saving that adds up in high-spend accounts. But it is a cost optimization, not a strategy: a poor feed with a CSS is still a poor feed, only cheaper. Our advice is to order it by impact: feed and campaign structure first, then measurement, and CSS as an incremental improvement once the rest works.
-
By margin, not by ROAS alone. ROAS measures revenue per euro invested, but it ignores that a product with an 8% margin and one with 45% cannot share a bidding target. The correct approach is to segment the catalog by profitability, set different targets per family and measure the net profit of the whole channel, including what the organic listings sell at no cost per click. That combined view is what lets you decide whether to invest the next euro in more bidding or in a better feed.
So what now?
If you invest in Shopping and do not know what share of your sales comes from bidding and what share from organic listings, or if your feed is still your CMS's default export, there is money on the table. Ask us for a channel audit: we review your Merchant Center, your campaign structure and your organic Shopping visibility, and tell you how much margin is recoverable and in what order.
No punishing lock-ins: if the channel does not improve, there is no reason to keep paying to have it managed.
